Robert Gold has been serving the North Shore for the past 33 years. His extreme talent and keen sense of design has landed him in numerous publications and at the top of many classes. Robert is Vidal Sassoon trained and believes that regular education and training are the best methods to keep himself, and his staff, on top of the latest trends and techniques.

 

MELISSA KAUFMAN
Senior Colorist

Melissa has more than 9 years of experience in the salon business, working specifically on hair coloring. Her training began at a high-end, downtown salon and brought her to her current role as Senior Colorist at Robert Gold Salon & Spa, where she has been training all the colorists at the salon for the past 6 years. Melissa believes the most important facet of good color is protecting the integrity of the client's hair while listening to the client's specific wants and needs. She continues to learn the latest techniques and stays ahead of the curve through classroom training as well as by attending industry workshops and conferences around the country.

 

NICOLE JAROSH
Colorist/Stylist
Nicole has been with Robert Gold Salon & Spa since 2007. Following graduation from Tricoci University of Beauty in 2004, she received extensive training in advanced cutting and color. Nicole always provides a great customer experience through her attentiveness to her guests and her talent for giving fun and modern looks to her clients. She specializes in custom haircuts, dimensional color and imaginative styling.

 

JANET LAZAR
Stylist

Being a veteran in the industry, Janet brings us over 20 years of experience between her time spent working in the Gold Coast of Chicago through her current time at Robert Gold Salon & Spa. Janet makes it a priority for her clients to look urban and youthful. Janet travels frequently to LA and New York with these trips providing her with inspiration and motivation to keep her clients looking fabulous and modern.

 

NORA HOWARD-GUERINO
Colorist/Stylist

Nora built her reputation on color, especially gorgeous, natural looking highlights. Nora's precise color placement is further accentuated by her cutting to emphasize the client's best features. Upon graduation from Vogue Academy in 1984, Nora obtained a position with a leading salon chain where her ambition and unmistakable talent earned her the title of Artistic Director. Taking her education and experience to Northfield, she worked happily for 19 years at two renowned salons on the North Shore. Nora joined Robert Gold Salon & Spa in February of 2011.

 

Nora continues to refine her talent with advanced education, including razor cutting with Nick Arrojo, Aquage Intensives, Redken Intensives, Clariol's Color World as well as certification in Global Keratin Smoothing Systems.

 

KAROLINA PACULA
Stylist
In touch with the latest hair trends, Karolina is the newest addition to the Robert Gold Salon & Spa team. After graduating from Pivot Point International Academy, Karolina went through extensive training at a high-end salon in the West Loop. Karolina continued her growth by completing Robert Gold's Advanced Training Program. Karolina specializes in fabulous blow outs, up-dos and special occasion styles. She takes the time to carefully perfect haircuts for all her clients and is continuously perfecting her craft. Karolina loves reinventing herself and draws inspiration from the latest global trends.

 

LANA KOMA
Esthetician
Lana is an expert in hair removal, chemical peels and skincare products. She has been a licensed esthetician for 9 years and continues to train in the latest techniques by attending classes, seminars and workshops. In addition to waxing, Lana offers her clients a unique service by specializing in threading; an ancient hair removal method commonly practiced in India and other parts of the Middle East, with increasing popularity here in the West. Threading removes the entire hair follicle, lasting up to 6 weeks.

 

Lana strives to make every client feel more comfortable in their skin by educating clients about skincare products and providing treatments to help maintain healthy and radiant skin.
